You’re at Dufferin Grove Park

From Transit City to SmartTrack and VisionZero, Toronto’s leadership has spent the last decade coming up with pithy names for projects that fail to meet any and all goals. Ana Bailao was a part of all those plans.

Whether the consequences of that are an hours-long commute, or taking your life in your hands every time you go out, it’s clear that we need a new approach to moving people around the City. The priority given to single-occupancy personal motor vehicles must stop.

Our roads need to be designed to move people, not cars. Expanded, accessible, fully funded transit will allow us to get from home to our destination, anywhere in the City, without the necessity of car ownership.

A fully-protected bike lane network provides an alternative to the car for those who still crave the freedom of the open road. In either case, every person who is given a viable alternative to driving, is one less car on the road.
